Digs 4 Dogs has been established on the Costa Blanca since early 2008. Our dog boarding kennels are located in the quiet countryside of Dolores, a small town located between Alicante and Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca of Spain. There is ample space for exercising your dog whatever the size or breed. We have created a purpose built building which will incorporate 12 individually tiled and painted dog kennels which are easy to clean and to keep clean during the entire stay of your precious dog. There are also two internal kennels for small dogs in winter. There is no visibility between kennels at all so dogs will not annoy each other or spend all day barking. We have a very quiet kennels to date especially through the night. The new PENTHOUSE SUITE opened May 2013 and has already been booked out and used to the delight of these customers so if you want to treat your dog/s to a very special, bigger and totally reformed area then book it now.....PENTHOUSE..(special rates apply) "The PENTHOUSE +" has now been in use since May 2015 and is proving very popular too, its way bigger and has two areas of shade or protection from rain (not that we get a lot) Again special rates apply please ask when you visit.
We provide you with updates while you are away either by email or Whatsapp normally a foto will accompany the messaage too. We are also on FACEBOOK "DigsDogs Spain". We also have the Xmas Videos which bring lots of joy to people on Boxing Day every year you can see them here D4D Xmas Video
We ask that you bring with you the food that your dog normally eats. We will make sure that your dog remains on the same feeding pattern that he or she is used to thereby ensuring optimimum wellness. We cater for dogs on special diets for which a small price supplement is added depending upon any additional work involved. This also applies to medication i.e., tablets administered in food and diabetic Injections. Any dogs requiring other types of injections must be considered on a one to one basis along with consultation with a vet to monitor your dog's condition during its stay at our kennels.
We currently have two fabulous dogs of our own. Pippa, known as Bubbles but pronounced Boobelies, a rescued Heinz 57 is a funny little character but very loving, in June 2015 I have now rescued another dog Chopin who we call Chupi.
We take great care of our dogs and reflect this in the care of our guest dogs. All dogs in the kennels are treated equally and whilst our own will always be our favourites we have affection for all the dogs whilst in our care. We invite anyone to come and visit before deciding to let their dog board with us at our kennels in Dolores. We ask you to give us your feedback on our boarding kennel services here on the Costa Blanca as we are always looking to improve and develop our kennels.
The kennels do not operate set opening times as we dont want to put you in the position of not being able to access your dogs exactly when you want to. Drop off and pick up times are all by agreement between ourselves, it is important however to keep to the times agreed so that we can adjust when other dogs are let in and out for exercise.
We are now connected with three veterinary practices, all within easy reach of our boarding kennels and all of them have a 24 hour emergency call out facility if required. We must insist that every dog that stays at our kennels has up to date injections. Passports with full medical card are preferred but not essential . We also offer a rehoming sevice which is proving popular as it takes all the guilt away and you get to see how your dogs enjoy their new surroundings, you can also adopt from us if you see a dog that is in the process, see who is here now. Take NEXT exit towards ALMORADI / DOLORES junction 737
At end of either slip road head TOWARDS DOLORES
There is a new roundabout by Petrol Station MAYAYO just go straight on.
After about 1Km you come to the roundabout at Dolores town where you turn left towards Catral.
You will pass slowly through a few sets of traffic lights and eventually (500 meters or so) see a Repsol Petrol Station on your left, carry on and just past here you will see GREEN metal Railings along this stretch of road after 250 meters or so you will see a small cross roads where you TURN RIGHT towards the big colorful Warehouse saying “CABANERO” on the side.
As you turn right you will see a new house behind a Wall & Railings with fur trees on your left and the industrial units with CABANERO further down on your right.
Travel down this road EXACTLY 3KM (the road will bend to the left and it then snakes to the right, past the water works (big building you can see to your left) and keep going straight on, the road widens here too, continue down and on your right you will see several small camino roads, look out for a long wall on your right in Brown York Stone Cladding that looks like Giraffe Skin.

When you leave our house follow our little lane to the main road and turn Right, this road continues for about 3km and you will pass through lots of fields till you reach the end and a cross roads.
At the cross roads TURN LEFT follow to the roundabout (you should pass a Petrol Station on your left) at the roundabout go straight on to the next roundabout where you turn RIGHT (should be a bar on the corner called Ursula’s).
Follow this road all the way to the next roundabout where you go straight on as well.
Follow this road to the Next Roundabout where you go straight on as well (building called Blue Star on the right)
Follow this road all the way to the next roundabout (you will pass through small areas called Balsares and Valverde)
At this roundabout you will see the N332 main road above you, pass under the bridge to the roundabout and take third turning, be careful here the first is a slip road onto the roundabout the second goes to El Altet then there is the slip road up onto the N332 it’s a tricky little exit take care.
Go up onto the N332 and pass through the tunnel remember to put your lights on while in tunnel, once out the other side another road joins from your right but as you go along MOVE OVER into the right lane NOW, its signposted to Airport.
This takes you up over on a bridge and as you drop down you will have another road coming in from your right, MOVE OVER to the right again and stay in this lane till you get to next roundabout (you will pass a Petrol Station on your right)
As you move onto the roundabout INITIALLY keep RIGHT, as in straight on, BUT then Immediately keep left for the Airport entrance be careful.
Your now in the Airport itself so head towards where ever you need to park or drop off.
Have a good trip
